Inventory importing

We migrated our store from X-Cart and their .csv inventory importing process was much simpler. We only needed the SKU and a +10 or -10 depending on if we were adding or subtracting from inventory amount of the item.

I’ve not found an easy way like that to do it. Currently have to export the items, change the inventory totals, and import. Is there an app or process I’m overlooking that makes changing a bulk inventory easier/faster?

Thanks!

If you’re doing a lot of data import and export, you will love Matrixify. https://matrixify.app/tutorials/adjust-the-inventory-quantity-for-shopify-products/

Hello @tim_1 and @BCT

You sure can use the Matrixify app to bulk update inventory by importing only adjustments and using SKU as identification.

You can import a file with only two columns using the Matrixify app:

  • Variant SKU
  • Variant Inventory Adjust (if item is stocked in multiple locations then you will need to specify the location and thus use column header [Inventory Available Adjust: Location Name](https://matrixify.app/documentation/products/#inventory-available-adjust) (change the location name to name of your location))

If you have any questions or concerns along the way, feel free to contact Matrixify support directly.
