Inventory Sync

Topic summary

Connecting Shopify inventory to Amazon/eBay so purchases there automatically reduce Shopify stock and Shopify acts as the single source of truth.

Core approach: use marketplace integration apps that both manage listings and import marketplace orders into Shopify. When orders are pushed into Shopify, the associated product quantity is decremented; updates made in Shopify then sync back to marketplaces.

Recommended tools mentioned:

  • Shopify Marketplace Connect (by Codisto): supports Amazon, eBay, Walmart, Etsy; uses Shopify inventory as primary and keeps counts synchronized.
  • LitCommerce: syncs Amazon/eBay orders to its dashboard; supports Shopify; reported smooth operation with paid plans.
  • CedCommerce eBay Integration; Salestio (free plan available, additional charges may apply).
  • Nembol: imports Amazon/eBay orders with a paid upgrade; limited automation for shipping labels.
  • MapMyChannel by WebBee; other alternatives cited include ChannelGrabber and Orderlytics.

Alternative for low volume: manual CSV order import into Shopify (free but not seamless).

Key considerations: free, fully unlimited options are rare; choose based on required automation (order import, label/fulfillment flows). Set Shopify as the main store during setup for consistent stock control.

Status: no final selection by the requester; multiple viable app-based solutions presented; discussion remains open.

Hello, I am wondering if there is a way to connect Shopify’s inventory to other sales channels such as amazon, ebay, etc so whenever a customer purchases a product from these channels the Shopify inventory is reduced accordingly.

Essentially I would like to manage ALL product inventory via Shopify, rather than having to adjust each platforms inventory individually. Hope that makes sense.

Any tips?

Thanks!

I’m selling on both Amazon and Ebay while having LitCommerce sync orders for me, and it is running smoothly I guess. This feature is sort of easy to use and convenient; it syncs all my orders from both Amazon and Ebay to my LitCommerce dashboard and I will manage all my order information there. I used to route all orders to my Ebay store as well after the orders arrived at my LitCommerce dashboard, but these days I only stop at the dashboard.

I remember they do support Shopify and Wix too. Just pick Shopify as your main store and Amazon and Ebay as a sales channel during the setup.

I have just upgraded my pricing plan and I think their services don’t cost too much compared to other tools. Just chat with them and see if they have a suitable plan for you.

Hi @biznazz101 ,

I understand you’re looking for a solution to import orders from eBay and Amazon to Shopify. While a completely free option with no limitations is rare, there are apps with free plans or trials that might fit your expects:

  • CedCommerce eBay Integration or Codisto Amazon, eBay & Walmart: The app’s features include the capability to import eBay listings into Shopify, to sync fulfillment details between Shopify and your eBay store, and more.
  • Amazon, eBay, Etsy — Salestio: This app can synchronize inventory and orders for Amazon, eBay, and Etsy. It offers a free plan, but additional charges may apply.
  • Nembol: This app automatically transfers your orders from eBay, Etsy, Amazon, WooCommerce, and Storenvy into Shopify. Nembol offers order import for eBay and Amazon, but only with a paid upgrade and not fully automated for shipping labels. Whether it meets your needs depends on your priorities. If you only need basic order transfer and are willing to pay for the Pro plan, it might be an option. But if automatic label fulfillment and seamless DPD integration are crucial, you might need to explore other solutions like Codisto, ChannelGrabber, or Orderlytics.

Additionally, remember:

  • Shopify’s built-in “Orders” section lets you manually import orders from CSV files downloaded from eBay and Amazon. While not seamless, it’s a free option for occasional imports.
  • Consider contacting Shopify support to inquire about potential discounts or alternative solutions for utilizing DPD shipping labels for orders from other platforms.

Hopefully it will help you. If yes then Please don’t forget hit Like and Mark it as solution!

Hi,

If you’re seeking seamless inventory synchronization between Shopify and your various marketplaces, the Shopify Marketplace Connect app is the optimal choice for you. This app leverages your Shopify inventory as the primary data source and currently supports synchronization with Amazon, eBay, Walmart, and Etsy marketplaces.

With regard to inventory synchronization, as long as the app is managing your marketplace listings and importing marketplace orders to Shopify, your product inventory will remain accurately synchronized. Whenever an order is placed on your connected marketplaces and was pushed to Shopify, the inventory of that purchased product will automatically be decremented on Shopify. Furthermore, any inventory updates made directly on Shopify will seamlessly sync to the marketplaces, ensuring consistent inventory management across all platforms.
