Inventory Integration & order tracking

I manufacture and sell my products through my Shopify website but also through Amazon, and Etsy.

I am looking for an inventory solution that will allow me to see, edit and track all incoming and outgoing inventory from all 3 channels.

I’ve been tracking it in my shipping software, as all orders route through there, but it is not an accurate system and I’d much rather have it all done in one place, preferably in Shopify or a connected app.

Any direction would be helpful!

Thank you all!

Hi @dwizzle ,

Are you looking for an app suggestion or want a developer to help you make a custom app?

Hi there @dwizzle,

You’ll want a multichannel inventory app that keeps stock and order data synced between Shopify, Amazon, and Etsy so you’re not juggling three systems or overselling.

I’d suggest a solid option to look at is Shopify Marketplace Connect. It’s a Shopify’s built-in channel for syncing listings, orders, and inventory with Amazon and eBay (Etsy support’s limited, but improving).

Once you’ve got your inventory sorted, you can use something like ParcelPanel Order Tracking on the Shopify side to manage shipping updates and branded tracking for all those orders in one place.

Hope this helps a bit! If it does, feel free to mark it as a solution so others can find it too <3

Hi @dwizzle,

Curious to know what solution you ended going with?

Yeah managing multi-channel inventory gets messy fast. A solid option is using an app like Trunk or Sellbrite that syncs stock between Shopify, Amazon, and Etsy in real time. Trunk is lightweight and great if you just need clean syncing without heavy setup. If your catalog is more complex, Cin7 or Skubana can handle advanced rules. Start with a small batch to test the sync before rolling it out fully, that saves a lot of trouble later.

Hii @dwizzle ,

Yeah, managing inventory across Shopify, Amazon, and Etsy separately can turn into chaos fast

The key is to use a system that keeps everything in sync, so when a customer buys something on Amazon, your Shopify and Etsy stock automatically update in real time. It saves hours of manual updates and prevents overselling.

A few tools that work well for this:

  • Sumtracker – simple and reliable for smaller stores.

  • ChannelDock – gives you a single dashboard for all your orders.

  • EasyEcom – great for higher volume or warehouse-level tracking.

Just be sure your SKUs match across all platforms, that’s key for accuracy.

If you’re curious how Shopify integrations handle multi-channel inventory behind the scenes, this quick read on Shopify ERP integration breaks it down in a really easy way. It explains how your store can stay synced across multiple platforms without needing heavy custom builds.

You’ll need a multi-channel inventory management system that serves as your single source of truth. Your shipping software isn’t built for that; it’s reactive, not proactive so it can’t give you accurate, real-time control over stock.

Look for an automation solution that pulls orders from Amazon and Etsy, updates your inventory in Shopify, and then pushes the new quantities back out to all channels instantly. That’s the best way to prevent both overselling and stockouts.

Hey!
If you want all your inventory from Shopify, Amazon, and Etsy to_sync in one place, you’ll need a multichannel inventory app. Shopify doesn’t handle that part natively.

A few options worth looking at:

  • Sellbrite – good for syncing stock across Amazon, Etsy, and Shopify.

  • Craftybase – focuses on manufacturing + raw material tracking.

  • Cin7 Core (DEAR) – more advanced, but very reliable for multi-channel.

  • Trunk – simple and fast if you mainly need inventory syncing.

These apps update stock automatically across all your channels, so you don’t have to track everything manually in your shipping software anymore.

If you share a bit more about your workflow (manufacturing steps, bundles, raw materials, etc.), I can point you to the best match.

I was in a similar situation, and the biggest issue was that shipping tools are great for labels but not for true inventory tracking. Once you’re selling on Shopify, Amazon, and Etsy, things get out of sync really fast.

What helped was using an app that treats Shopify as the main inventory source and then syncs orders and stock across the other channels.

There are a few tools that do this, and ones like MapMyChannel are designed for exactly this kind of setup — syncing inventory and orders across Shopify, Amazon, and Etsy so you’re not juggling multiple systems.

I’d recommend trying a couple apps with a small batch of products first and seeing which one gives you the clearest view of incoming and outgoing stock. That usually makes it obvious which tool fits best.

If your manufacturing process is straightforward, you can keep Shopify as your source of truth using a marketplace integration app.

  • You can manage all inventory inside Shopify. You install an app like CedCommerce or Codisto that pushes your Shopify stock levels to Amazon an Etsy in real-time.
  • Keeps your workflow in one dashboard, usually the most affordable option.
  • Shopify’s native inventory doesn’t track raw materials without extra help.
