I am trying to invoice straight from my Shopify Dashboard. With our business, we often have custom orders. We bill the custom fee upfront right now via PayPal invoicing, but it’s hard to track and keep up with. I would love the ability to Invoice straight from Shopify and show that invoice on the order screen or even an alternate screen so I can more easily track them from one dashboard. It seems like a gigantic oversight to not have this already available as an ad-hoc invoicing option (not attached to a web order). Am I missing something? Any ideas?

You can use a free Shopify app called Order printer. This allows you to download/generate invoices in bulk on the order tab. All you need to do is install the app, then select the orders in the admin > click more actions > then click “print with order printer”:
