Hi, is Chit Chat a reliable carrier? I’m in the process of building my store and was thinking of using them. They offer very competitive shipping rates in Canada and the USA, however have some mixed reviews on line. I would appreciate your feedback. Thanks!
They are relatively popular in GTA, offering affordable cross-border shipping solutions, especially among small businesses.

Reliable and for US-bound parcels, heads above Canada Post even though Canada Post hands off their parcels to USPS eventually. The cost is lower for US-destined parcels, but even more importantly is that Chit Chats drives each days order right into the USPS facility across the boarder, bypassing Mississauga and the like hubs for Canada Post. IOW you give it to Chit Chats, they throw it in a truck and drive it across the border that evening to USPS. Cannot beat that. And with lower prices and supreme customer service at their branches, its a no-brainer.
If its a parcel for a Canadian, then you’re somewhat still screwed, as Chit Chats will handle the parcel but hand it off to Canada Post for last-leg delivery, with all the problems that entails. Plus the CP prices - even through Chit Chats gets gives the commercial discount on rates - are still obscene compared to shipping the same box to the US.
And as an added plus, I’ve been told they are piloting local pick up boxes for Canada-to-Canada shipments. If the parcel recipient lives near a chitchats location the service will offer delivery to the pickup box there for three or four dollars per parcel, fully tracked by their system. Compare that to Canada Post where, with the 37% price surcharge on all package services, has made it next to impossible to justify for business use.

They’ve just lost this 15 year customer. They put me out of business by discontinuing a USA economy service without notification. Had to cancel orders and shut down on multiple sites. Seems they spend all their time spinning that their non stop price increases and refusal to answer questions are really good for you…that they’re doing you a favor.
Canada Post small business account gets you same/sometimes cheaper rates than chit chats across Canada with generally 2 -7 business day delivery. Although chit chat uses canada post expect something to take at least a month to go from Ont to BC with chit chats, pathetic.
Try Stallion Express, excellent company. I have to mail down to them but it’s worth it.
