If I start trading as a sole proprietor, how much hassle will it be to change that later to an LLC?
I mean solely within Shopify. I have an LLC but I want to try out of few different business ideas before committing to one and it looks like it would be much easier with accounting doing it as a personal business first if it’s easy to change later.

You can absolutely start your business as a sole proprietor, and then change the business type later by contacting us through the Shopify Help Center. From there, we’d be happy to assist you through live chats. However, in order to change the business type, you may also need to provide some documentations of your business registration.

Thank you for your informative reply. The reason for my question was also because I haven’t fully decided yet if I want to run it under my current LLC or if I’m going to create a separate one, but that all depends on if and how hard the business is taking off. So I got to work on that part first for now
