Is it normal to get charge back notifications in test mode? Last week, In test mode, I ran through the different transaction types including failed transactions and today I got a charge back notification. Just checking to make sure that this is the normal part of the testing process.
Greetings, @Jacky16 .
Thank you for reaching out and posting this question!
I understand you’re testing your payment gateways and simulating some failed transactions. Just to confirm, were you testing Shopify Payments?
If so, it is possible to get a chargeback when simulating a failed transaction using Shopify Payments. If you’ve used the credit card number 4000000000000259, then this is normal as this will simulate a charge dispute (also known as chargeback).
If the order was generated using test mode, then there isn’t anything to worry about and you can delete test orders. Do you see a banner on the order that indicates it was a test order?
Yes thank goodness when I opened the chargeback there is a ‘ Test Order’ banner at the top
javascript:alert(document.domain)
What is this response?
