Hello, I have a Shopify store. I use Campaign Monitor for my email marketing. I am considering switching to Shopify for email marketing, but am concerned that it may not be as robust. It does do automation and journeys, so that is good. So far, I have found one issue, and am wondering if anyone has solved it. I don’t see an easy way to add links to my social accounts. Is there an easy way I am missing? In general, do you think the Shopify email platform is adequate for a robust email marketing newsletters and campaigns? Thank you.
Hello!
To add links to your social media accounts to your emails, you can:
Use Brooklyn, Debut, Kagami, Minimal, Narrative or Parallax themes for your store. These themes automatically add social media icons to the footer of your emails. You can customize social media links in theme options

Or
You can add HTML code for social media icons to your email template code. You can use the HTML tag with an tag inside it to create a clickable icon. For example, to add a Facebook icon, you can use the following code:

Thank you Ryan, I really appreciate you taking the time to answer. The theme for my store is Context. I prefer not to change it just to solve my email problems. Do you know if this code will work with it?
I did find a workaround for the icon with a link for two of the socials. The issue is that you can only put two on one line, and I have more socials. I didn’t see a way to have more than two icons with links on one line. It just seemed kinda janky, and I got to worrying that the entire email system wouldn’t work. But I am paying $90 over at campaign monitor, and I have a built-in partly free service with Shopify, so I am hoping to make it work.
I will check out those themes but am also hesitant to upend the delicate balance and structure with my existing theme.
Thank you!
Anna
