is telemedicine website doable with shopify?

i want to make an online prescription drop shipping website.

i want to

  1. patient fills out the form

  2. i review

  3. patient pays

  4. prescription sent directly to pharmacy or medication sent to door.

is this doable with shopify? if not where can i make this on my own? i have time and can learn. i’ve made many wordpress websites before. don’t want to break a bank hiring developers.

please help!

Because affordability of health care, millions of American patients million a year risk International medical tourism. A American health company (https://www.sameskyhealth.com/ ) introducing Mexican online doctors (https://medicallhome.mx) to American.
I want to do the same thing, send more international doctors to American, such as India/ South Africa/ China . I will use SAAS Ecommerce, Shopify to build website/ APP. How can I connect Shopify with India telehealth company? Whether or not Shopify support video call? The Shopify APP Store have a telehealth ? Thanks!

This cannot be done using a 3rd-party app if you hope to remain HIPAA compliant.

There’s several ways that can do this, but they all involve creating a broker app and transacting through the Shopify API while separating the PHI data elsewhere. This means de-identifying the product as well. Shopify is not optimum as an end to end HIPAA solution for vending these products. It can be done, but middleware becomes the conduit for doing so. Some products are easier than other to make this work for, such as testing kits, prescription eyeglasses, etc. Where you separate the PHI from the purchase.

e.g. We’ve built solutions for selling prescription eyeglasses by decoupling the frame purchase from the prescription submission or allergy testing kits where the sale of the kit is not PHI until they register it in a separate system we built for results retrieval.
