Is there a report in Shopify that tells whether a person PAID via PayPal versus Shopify?

There’s not a direct report that shows the Payment Type by Customer. But there is a report that shows Payment by Type. To view this report please go to ‘Analytics > Reports’ from your Shopify admin, and scroll down to the Finances section.
From here, choose Finances summary, and adjust the date range box on the top right hand side of the summary to encompass the dates you’d like to view. A breakdown of the payment types for that period of time will show in the Payments section of the summary as seen below:
Clicking on the payment type directly will expand the report to display such details as date, order number, amounts, etc. This report can also be exported to a CSV by choosing the Export option at the top of the page (see below). To see which customer is associated with each transaction, click on the order number to be taken directly to that order in your Shopify admin.
