Is there a way to create a collection grid for occasions on Dawn theme?

Hello – I think I may be being really dim here so bear with me…

I’ve built my shop (greetings cards) using the Dawn theme. I have 600+ products and have organised them into collections (birthdays, valentines, wedding, engagement etc) which are accessible via the main menu (see image 1). So you might select OCCASIONS which would then drop down to offer you anniversary, engagement, retirement etc.

What I’d like, however, is for a customer to click on ‘occasions’ and then have that go to a page where there’s a grid of images for each occasions group (birthdays, valentines etc) each of which then links through to that collection. (see image 2)

Am I being an idiot, or is there no way to create a new page with a grid of images?

If I create a new default page, I see this (image 3) which is really no use unless you can write/edit code, which I can’t. It feels like there should be a page template that incorporates a simple image grid which you could then link through to other pages/collections. The fact that it seems like something that should be easy, and isn’t, is what makes me think I’m missing something…

Yes, you should create a new Page but instead of typing in content you should go to Customizer, create new template, assign it to this new Page and then add as many ‘Collection list’ sections to this template as you need.
