A new Shopify merchant selling hand‑painted press‑on nails reports strong engagement but 0 purchases in the past week: 1,502 sessions; Add to Cart (ATC) 99 (6.59%); Reached Checkout (RC) 54 (3.60%); Completed Checkout 0%. Checkout works in tests, shipping is competitive, and visitor recordings indicate real interest.
Key diagnosis: With healthy ATC and RC but 0 purchases, contributors point to checkout friction rather than product/price.
Specific issues observed (with screenshots showing UI problems):
Bundle app bug: changing sizes in a bundle sometimes reverts the Add to Cart button to a non‑bundle price.
Excessive promo text/discount code UX; recommend auto‑applying discounts (e.g., Black Friday) and removing clutter.
Inconsistent “65%” badge that doesn’t appear elsewhere—likely outdated/confusing.
Mobile/product pages appear cluttered; streamline product page, cart, and checkout; enable address autofill to reduce friction.
One reply offered paid CRO/audit services.
Status: Unresolved. Suggested actions: fix bundle pricing logic, simplify promo/discount handling, remove outdated labels, declutter mobile and checkout flows, and implement autofill to reduce friction at purchase.

I start selling my hand painted press ons on Shopify recently, the price and the product should be very competitive in comparison with other competitors - I was a designer for another brands before.
But my conversion rate is just terrible. My last week conversion break down is as follows:
Sessions: 1502
ATC: 99 (6.59%)
Reached Checkout: 54 (3.60%)
Complete Checkout: **0 (0%)
**
My RC → Purchase is 0/54. I tested by making some orders, using incognito, etc…, it is fine, my shipping fee is very affordable for worldwide shipping - lower than my competitors.
I installed Vitals to see the screens of the visitors, they seemed to show interest and stayed on the website long, definitely not bot.
What did I do wrong? I was very focused on making good products but the data hit my confidence really hard
Hi @Diane_Le I’m @PaulNewton shopify-partner with a range of merchant solutions.
If you have a serious budget for audits, a/testing, and adspend for conversion rate optimization,
Then you can reach out to me for customization services. CLICK profile-pic on forums for options to connect. ALWAYS include context in new communications, e.g. reference urls, posts urls, etc
If your ATC and RC numbers look healthy but 0 purchases, the problem is almost never the product. It’s almost always something in the checkout friction category.
I noticed that the bundle app breaks sometimes if I click on the bundle and change the sizes, it will show the non-bundle price on the add to cart button.
This text is really not needed. In fact, these discounts should be automatic with no code. The black friday discount could be automatic too. It’s just taking too much space.
