Looking for an app to personalize and print greeting cards?

Hi,

We are planning to sell our own greetings cards in our online store; we sell beer and related products / gifts and would like to be able to offer customers the chance to buy a card with a personalised message to go along with their order.

Does anyone know of an app that we can integrate with our store that will let customers add a message to the card they have purchased, that would then allow us to print that message on one of our cards before sending it along with the order.

I’ve found lots of third party greeting card printing services and email gift cards but nothing that seems to offer the fairly straightforward solution I need.

Cheers

Hello @Tyketto1968 , If you’re looking for an app that will allow you toadd personalized messages or text on cards then you can try the Inkybay app.

This app provides vast customization features. Your customer can graphics, upload images, add text, and customize that text in various ways like changing color, fonts, rotating, etc. You can get the custom order file through this app. For all the customization options, you can assign prices easily. Customers can see the real-time pricing while customizing the product. According to the features, it provides different packages with different prices so that you can use this app according to your budget also.

This app offers 21 days of trial so you’ll get enough time to decide if this app suits your business or not.

Here is the Demo Product.

Hi @Tyketto1968 ,

It sounds like Giftship would be a good solution for this use-case. Giftship is an all-in-one gifting tool, that allows for gift messages to be taken on a product or cart page, and then automatically print out on a gift card size of your choice:

Please let me know if you would like to go over anything here. We’re more than happy to hop on a Zoom call or help out how we can!

Hi Tim,

I’m about to install the app and have noticed that the $29.99 plan we’re opting for initially is just a subscription fee and that ‘additional usage charges may apply’. However, I can’t find any information about what those might be. Can you enlighten me please : )

Cheers

Hi Tim,

Was kind of reassured by the ‘happy to help’ sentiment but I’ve not had an answer here and I’ve also emailed support about a separate issue and not had a response either.

Perhaps it’s not the right solution for us after all… : )

Cheers

Hi @Tyketto1968 ,

Our sincere apologies for the delay. For some reason it hit a spam filter, but we are getting back to your question now.

Hi @Tyketto1968 !

We actually just launched a free app that does this and more, our app allows users to select the greeting card plus add a personalized message, as well as a video greeting or images from their camera roll as part of their message. Then we provide you, the merchant, a PDF of the card w/ their order that you print and you include that in the box. The receiver of the gift gets the nice greeting card and it also includes a QR code so they can scan and also see the complete digital message like if the sender decided to include a video greeting as well. https://apps.shopify.com/voucherapp .

Our model is to charge the end customer 1.99 for this and then take .99 cents from that, we think its something consumers would like to pay for and then also gives the merchant additional revenue. If you want to try this, we’d work with you until it suits your needs we’re in beta right now so its a good time to get us to tailor it to what you need after you try it. Let me know if you want and I will help you (we are a canadian company). Best, rob.

Hi Rob,

Thanks for replying. We actually already have the greetings cards. We just need something that will allow customers to add a message when they purchase it, that we can then print on the cards but also allowing us to match the order to the message - if that makes sense.

Yes totally makes sense. The way I could see making this work would be to allow you to upload your art to our system (which we offer already) so customers would only browse your own greeting cards only. Then they would be allowed to add messages and video greeting etc. too. When we send you back the PDF after the order, you would print it and it would be your own card w/ art plus their message and a qr code they scan to get the full personalized digital experience too. Does that make sense? Could be an interesting approach.
