Hi everyone,
I recently launched my Shopify store, CreativeSignet.com (focused on pet art and dog portrait bundles). I would really appreciate some honest feedback from the community on how I can improve both the store experience and the visibility in search engines.
A bit of context:
-
The store has been live for about 2 months.
-
I’ve had around 500 sessions total, but very few are from my target market (most traffic comes from outside the US). It’s also difficult to verify how many of these are valid leads, since analytics tools track some bot activity (e.g. Google crawlers) as well as my own developer visits.
-
The bounce rate looks pretty high, but I’m not sure if that’s due to design issues, pricing, wrong targeting, or simply because some people don’t accept the cookie/privacy policy banner (in which case their stats might not be valid at all).
-
Current Google Search Console data shows impressions are quite low, and my CTR has dropped from about 5.5% to under 3%.
-
So far, I’ve had just a few sales and they came from direct traffic.
Since I don’t have anyone nearby with the experience to give me feedback, I’d love to hear from this community on:
-
Store design & user experience – does it feel trustworthy and clear for new visitors?
-
SEO setup – I’ve added meta titles and descriptions, optimized all product images (and most other images across the site), and I also use the Tapita SEO app. Even so, I still get a 70–80 performance score in Google PageSpeed Insights (while Shopify analytics reports a higher performance score). Do my product titles/descriptions look well structured for search, or is there something else I should focus on?
-
Traffic quality – ideas on how to attract more of the right audience (POD sellers and pet owners, primarily in the US).
-
Conversion factors – what could be stopping people from completing a purchase?
I’m open to constructive criticism and any ideas you may have — whether that’s small tweaks to my product pages, better SEO strategy, or marketing approaches you’ve tried yourself.
Thanks in advance for taking the time to help!
— Natalia

Hi Natalia @NataliaCreates I’ve had a proper look at the store and here are my thoughts regarding the 4 main questions you’ve asked.
- My trustworthy value could be increased with a re-design of the customer reviews section. It is great to have customer reviews but I believe they could be done in a way that’s more appealing and convincing both design and content wise
- The descriptions looked okay to me but if you want to raise the SEO score then maybe you should have a look at discussing with an SEO specialist if possible
- As for attracting the right customers and conversion factors, I advice that you try to utilize social media marketing more and more- specifically paid ads through Tik Tok and Instagram if it is within your budget.

I like the site, it’s incedibly creative. But the png bundles are a bit expensive. With places like Kittl, Artistly, Envato, and Canva that can also produce high quality graphics for printing, some of which have unlimited downloads, it doesn’t seem like $1 per image would be worth it. On the other hand, it is an all-in-one bundle.
How solidified are you in only focusing on pets? There are lots of categories you could get into, like scenery or faith-based messages. Really the sky’s the limit. In all honesty, pet graphics are very niche. Might be a good idea to branch out. Maybe offer to design personal cartoon portraits or something.
Overall, I think you’re doing well. I’d go to trade shows and see what the printers are selling and ask if they would like anything. Build your brand, give it time to grow. it’ll catch.

Thank you for the feedback — you’ve made some great points. I’ve been thinking about SMM too. Right now I’m starting with Pinterest and Instagram, just to keep things manageable.
It’s definitely overwhelming being a one-person team (well, almost — my husband helps with some of the technical stuff), but I’m still juggling everything: listings, product development, SEO, promotion, admin work… the list never ends. Bit by bit though — trying to stay consistent and keep moving forward.
Really appreciate your input!

Thank you so much for the thoughtful feedback — really appreciate it. You bring up some valid points. I agree the price might seem high at first glance, and I’ve realized I need to communicate the value better in titles and descriptions. It’s not just PNGs — the bundles also include Canva templates, so it’s more of an asset kit than just static graphics. When you break it down, it’s closer to $1 per PNG + Canva pair, which I think is fair considering the time investment.
You’re absolutely right about platforms like Kittl, Canva, Envato, and even AI tools — they’ve made access to design assets so much easier. But for us, each pet face is processed and styled across multiple art styles, cleaned, upscaled, and tested in Canva layouts. So while it’s technically repeatable, it still takes a ton of time and a steep learning curve to get everything polished and POD-ready.
As for your idea about custom portraits with scenery variations — you’re reading my mind! I’m actually working on product images for that exact kind of listing right now.
Thanks again for the encouragement — it really helps keep me grounded. I do believe in what we’re building, and feedback like this makes it easier to keep going — one small step at a time.
