Hello, our brand Forever Connected https://foreverconnected.store/ provides remembrance objects with artistic QR codes that lead to a digital memorial.
Our ads on META attract loads of visitors (CTR to website of 12-15% for some of the ads) but then people take little action.
We realized early on that launching this new concept would be tough because:
artistic QR codes are so new that people have a hard time understanding the concept
large part of our target audience is 50+ and even harder to explain a new concept
every time the brain spends time to grasp what the website is about, people disconnect
We spent loads to time on storytelling and finding a balance between emotion (as we talk about products for people that lost a loved one), explication (you need to tell people that they can actually scan our products, otherwise many people above a certain age do not see the QR code in our objects), and call-to-action.
What’s the ad audience? Are you sure it matches who you think would buy it?
You’re running ads from a page that has 60 followers. In my opinion you should have a social presence if you’re going to advertise on social media. Consider changing the conversion to “Like Page” and spend a few dollars to get some followers.
This is an incredibly sensitive product for sad times. “Buy 2 or more” discount doesn’t match that sentiment. It sends the opposite vibe.
80 dollars for a placard the size of a tea coaster is most likely a major contributing factor of people leaving.
This is such a thoughtful and meaningful concept, Frederik. You’re right, introducing something innovative, especially to an older audience, can be challenging. It might help to use short explainer videos or interactive demos right on your landing page to show exactly how scanning works and what people can expect to see. Simplify the first impression lead with emotion, then show functionality. Maybe even include testimonials or real memorial examples to help visitors connect instantly. Beautiful idea overall, it just needs clearer “show, don’t tell” storytelling.
You’re likely missing out on sales every day not because your product lacks quality, but because you don’t have the sales funnel that 88% of successful merchants rely on.
