Meta Tracking Help

Hi

Please can someone help - i havent got my tracking quite correct for meta. I think i’m running Ads from the wrong meta account (see screenshot 1). What do i do?

There are also two Pixels on the account i want

for best tracking practice consider google tag Manager GTM. furthermore GTM enables us to configure server side tracking/conversion API (CAPI) with first party domain which ensures the best tracking accuracy.

Clarify Your Ad Account and Pixel Setup

It looks like you may be running ads from one Meta account while tracking pixels in another. To fix this:

  • Check which business account is running your ads (under “Your Account” in the screenshot). Ensure it’s the same account where the correct pixel is installed.
  • To confirm this, go to Meta Business Suite > Ads Manager and review which ad account is active.

Check Your Pixel Placement

If your pixel is tracked in “The Dapper Dog Club” (as highlighted in the screenshot):

  • Log into Events Manager and confirm that this pixel is linked to the right website or landing pages.
  • If this pixel isn’t connected to the ad account you’re running campaigns from, you’ll need to:
    • Share Pixel Access: Go to Business Settings > Data Sources > Pixels, and grant access to the ad account running the campaigns.
    • Move Ad Campaigns: Alternatively, stop the ads on the incorrect account and recreate them under the business account linked to the pixel.

Double-Check Ad Campaigns and Spending

If you think your campaigns are active in the wrong account:

  • Pause the campaigns running in the wrong account to avoid wasting your budget.
  • Duplicate the campaign settings in the correct account (where the pixel is actively tracking).
