Minimum Spend amounts

Is there a minimum $ spend amount to get your ads to viable customers? Is it better to spend more on ads for a short period off time, or less and spread out the campaign? Like a weekend vs 1 or 2 months or 1-2 months vs 1 year?

When I manage my client’s accounts, and especially as I work mostly with small businesses, I ask them to at least have a $50 / £50 daily ad spend. While you may not need this if your daily ad spend is too low, you don’t get any traction, and everything takes too long to get going.

But, no, I would not do a weekend, to know if something works or not, best to at least have a budget for several months. That is because when you set up a campaign, you need to tweak it to get better results, and if you are using performance max campaigns you also need to wait a long time before Google shows you which ad assets performed well and which did not. So that you can make adjustments.
