I’m emotionally drained and worn out from this whole situation. I need some help.
I successfully got my Google Merchant account unsuspended after fixing a misrepresentation issue. I’ve done literally everything humanly possible to comply - updated policies, address, phone, about page, everything I could think of. I made absolutely sure there would be zero chances of complaints from Google Merchant Center. Because of all this work, the misrepresentation suspension was finally lifted from my Merchant Center.
But Google Ads is a different story. They won’t unsuspend my account even though the original problem was only with Merchant Center. When I appeal, they keep sending this response:
“We have received your request about a suspended Google Ads account ------- but after the investigation we have determined that the issue is connected to another related account/accounts. In order to resolve the Google Ads suspension you first need to ensure all of your linked (or previously linked) and all related accounts comply with our policies, as outlined in our Terms of Service. As soon as you ensure these conditions are met, please raise another Google Ads suspension appeal using this form.”
Here’s what’s confusing: I’ve confirmed all my current accounts follow their Terms and Conditions. I did have an old Merchant Center account with a misrepresentation issue, but I deleted it since it had the wrong country (set by Google App). When I provided Google with my old account IDs, they said they can’t even see these accounts in their system and that they’re not related to the current problem.
First of all ensure that you are not submitting appeals again and again. You only get a limited number of attempts. Don’t exhaust those.
From what I can read, there seems to be an issue with a connected account. And you are also mentioning that your GMC account got unsuspended after review. As it was an automated check, there may have been a mistake from Google’s end. That’s what it seems best case scenario. I read some other similar online cases where first GMC account was suspended and then Google ads account. But if GMC has been cleared, then Google ads account should also be cleared.
Also, check one more thing: what is the exact suspension reason mentioned on your Google ads account dashboard? Like circumventing systems policy violation, payments issue or something?
Hello Masoomi,
It says Terms and Conditions, i went through all of them and i cant seem to violating any of those. but it did say the terms and conditions are related to merchant center, this is very confusing.
Also, do check the guidelines properly. Google reviews the violation automatically as well as manually, and only then suspends a profile. So, chances of a mistake are less from their side.
I can understand how frustrating this situation must be, especially after successfully resolving the misrepresentation issue in your Merchant Center. Based on your description, it sounds like Google Ads is flagging a related account issue, which can sometimes be tricky to resolve. Have you checked if any old Google Ads accounts, payment profiles, or MCC accounts might be linked to your suspended account? If you’d like, I can take a look at your setup and provide some insights to help you navigate this. Feel free to message me!
This is actually our first post here, but I really wanted to reach out because I can hear how tough and draining this situation has been for you. You’ve clearly put in a lot of work fixing up your Merchant Center, so it’s frustrating to see Ads still holding things back.
I wanted to ask while you were working on fixing your Merchant Center, did you happen to close one account and then open a new one? Sometimes that step can create complications with “related accounts” in Google’s system, even if the old account isn’t visible to you anymore.
You’re definitely not alone many people run into this same wall, and it doesn’t always mean you’ve done something wrong.
