Hi all,
Really hitting my forehead against the wall on this.
Any and all help would be amazing.
When we created the webshop a while back, we fumbled around with Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics 4 and Universal analytics a lot. At some point we realized that we only needed GTM and deleted the rest.
Today, all we have is the GTM code in the top of the “theme.liquid” file and no other GTM/Google analytics code in any of our code files (have seached through them all). We also have the same GTM code in the additional scripts for in the checkout section.
When I debug GTM however, I find “old” tags still being active on our site.
Can someone help me explain what is going on? How do I get rid of these tags?
Our correct and active tag is GTM-MDDPJ7K.
UA-229754139-2 is an “old” tag which we added in the theme settings. The code has however been deleted from the settings page, so I don’t know why it still remains to be found on our site. Shopify bug?
The third tag G-4M6QJ1LM1F is our Google Analytics 4 property tag which is not in the Shopify code either, but is connected through Google Tag manager, so I do not see why this tag shows as active?
It is all a big mess. ![]()
Our website is www.joice.dk
Hope for some assistance before I pull the rest of my hair off. ![]()
Best regards,
Peter
