My store was recently closed because it “presents a level of risk that will be unable to support with Shopify.” Although I’m still confused by what caused this decision, it’s behind me at this point. My main concern now is:
Will I still receive a payout for payments that were not yet captured, or will the customer automatically receive a refund to their card (if so, how long will it take)???
Will I be able to receive customer information for the 40 orders I still have yet to fulfill (items orders, shipping addresses, emails, etc.)???
If the store was closed by our Risk team, then the orders may be refunded on your behalf if the orders were processed through Shopify Payments. Refunds can take up to 5 business days to reflect on the customers’ credit card. However; the order information, such as customer data and order contents will not be retrievable. I would recommend responding to the email Edie sent you to ask about the refunds as they’ll be able to provide further insight on if the refunds have been processed or if that is something you’ll need to do on your end (if the payments were processed under a third-party payment provider).
I own a gas station and all of our customers are very transient at one point in time I had a Shopify account and they closed our store down on Shopify due to a risk factor which I totally understand that is your company however you guys have locked up over 3,500 of our company’s profits and it’s just sitting in your account and you’re gaining interest off of that money per the reviews I can see that this happens over 70% of the time. Really the government needs to look into this somebody needs to forward all these reviews to some government agency. Because, when they deliberately are canceling accounts just to secure that money to gain the interest of that money that is illegal. You haven’t even specified how long it takes to receive a payout from a store once the store is closed you cannot issue refunds to people you don’t know that have already received their product that is stealing.
