Hi this happened yesterday

My google ad was disapproved because it says that my website is compromised

I went to Google Transparency Report to check if my website is safe, and it says yes

I wrote to google, but I’m also woried since my sales have dropped to 0 since then, it’s like all of my ads stopped working

I made a test order and it worked fine

Do you have any advice on how to checm my website for malware and how to fix this issue?

Check for Malware: Use website security scanners like Sucuri SiteCheck or SiteLock to identify any threats.

Appeal to Google Ads: Explain the Transparency Report result and offer to provide additional information to verify your site’s safety.

Monitor Website: Keep an eye on traffic and sales. If the ad disapproval caused the drop, things should improve once your ads are running again.

Hello Maximus,

I am facing the similar issue, where all my ads from google are disapproved and website is flagged as compromised.

Steps I have taken till now:

  • Downloaded theme files, products and scanned for any malware link or code (Found No Malware)
  • Contacted shopify support to check if the website is having any malware and they responded back that website is clean.
  • Checked through every malware scan website and found the same thing on every platform that website is free of malware

Do you recommend anything apart from this to get my ads approved again?

im facing the same issue.

Google disapproved all my ads for the reason below.
"Google detected malware/links that are potentially harmful to the website visitors. It seems that your site (landing page) redirects users to malicious links or triggered when clicked. Below are the links that we’ve detected:

  • hlmiq[.]com

Recommendation:
Please contact your webmaster to remove these links and check for other potential harmful links. You may assess your site using Google Search Console (previously known as Webmaster Tools). "

I contacted google and Shopify support but they couldn’t provide me with more informations.

I also checked the the Domain in Search Console and other Google Tools. No problems could be found.

I also hired an Shopify expert, who couldn’t find the links in the code.

I scanned our business computers and the website for malware. No threats were found.

It seems as more Shopify Users have this problem. It started March 21.

Did someone found a solution to solve this problem?

And it also started after march 21. It been 10 days now and still no solution. Please update me if you find any solution.

Hey Daseitz,

I have resolved the issue. Turns out the issue was with one of my ads campaign. Ask google to provide you with the infected landing pages and if they provide you with a UTM link, check those campaigns and delete them.

After deleting resubmit to google, this should solve your issue.

at first thank you for your message.

For me this just looks like a workaround, since there isn’t an actual problem with the landing pages?

Google, for whatever reason, just flagged the landing pages as compromised.

Would be great if you could update me after your new campaigns are running for some days. If google flags these landing pages again.

Ads got disapproved again, I guess this is a false flag but can’t say anything.

thanks for updating me.

I hired another Shopify Expert to troubleshoot the problem. So far he couldn’t find anything and was not able to detach the Links (hlmiq.com).

Please let me know when you found a solution.

It’s still not fixed. I have no idea what else to do. Already contacted google/Shopify support and hired Shopify experts.

Google is giving us the exact same info as well. Apparently it’s on only one page and we are unable to locate where it could be. Started March 31. Watching this thread to see if anyone finds more info.

Google Ads CS just said to resubmit our ads and if there is an issue, ‘another team’ will be in contact.

Have you had any luck getting this resolved?

We’re experiencing the same issues and each time we ask Google to rescan, they come back with different results.

External scans e.g Sucuri give us the all clear.

I’m having the same issue - with the same links that you guys have put up - Has ANYONE solved this yet??

Google has told me that ive got a compromised site, The link is (hlmiq.com). also. I’ve been down since end of March, I’ve tried to hire 3 different ‘developers’ all of which can’t find anything. I’ve contacted google several times and they just keep saying I have bad redirects. I’ve literally spent weeks redesigning a whole new website but I’ve had my site for several years and I don’t want to lose what I have.

Can someone Please tell me they have found the answer!
