I want to generate a report telling me what Inventory I need to fill my orders. I make the work as it is ordered so I do not normally track inventory. Is there a way for me to zero out my inventory and would the needed inventory show up as a negative number? If this could work , how to zero out the inventory. It is currently a large negative number because it is including the past sales. Thanks.
Hi @scbron ,
If you’re open to using a reporting tool, you can check out Report Pundit to generate reports with a low stock threshold quantity that can be scheduled to your email.
However, regarding the zeroing out of your inventory, we would need a better understanding of how your inventory tracking is set up with Shopify. Please don’t hesitate to reach out to discuss this further.
You can also explore our inventory reports with our 14-day trial, during which our team can assist with your requirements.
Cheers!

Hi @scbron
Claudia here from Better Reports.
Have you been able to find a solution with Shopify? If not, I recommend our app Better Reports for this.
We can help create a custom report showing the inventory needed to fill your orders. Regarding the zeroing out of the inventory, we would need to understand better how you keep track of the current inventory.
In addition to this, Better Reports has more than 60 built-in reports available out of the box that cover many common use cases for merchants. You can schedule reports to run at set frequencies to your email or Google Drive or export the reports in CSV, Excel or PDF format.
I encourage you to install Better Reports and start your free 14-day trial and I’ll be happy to set this up for you.
