Hi there @Jenya

I can see this is your first post in the Shopify Community, you are very welcome here!

Awesome to hear you opened your store last month. I understand you are seeing an issue with your domain however, so I’d be happy to help you troubleshoot this.

Based on the error that you have described, it sounds like the issue might either be with the SSL certificate or a browser based problem. You mentioned that you purchased the domain on Shopify - was it working perfectly until you saw this error today? Have you made any changes to the DNS settings of the domain that may explain this?

Has this been reported by a number of customers, or is it only happening for you? Feel free to share your store URL here and I can test it on my end to see if I am seeing the same error.

Some troubleshooting steps to try include the following:

  • Make sure your browser and OS are updated to the latest versions, as sometimes old versions can cause issues such as this. Older versions of Mac OS X (generally anything pre 10.12.1) can sometimes introduce issues, and also Windows 7 is no longer maintained by Microsoft so you should consider upgrading if you are using one of these OS.
  • Consider clearing the DNS cache from your computer to make sure it’s not using old stored information.
  • Access your store from a different browser, device type, or even operating system if possible. This will help to rule out any localized issues with your setup.

If the above does not work, and you are still seeing this issue across a variety of browsers and devices, then it would indicate there’s a definite problem with the SSL cert on the domain. I would then recommend reaching out to our support team here so we can take a closer look at what might be happening!

Besides the domain problem, how has your first month on Shopify been? I’d love to hear how everything has been going for you, and if you are finding anything particularly difficult or challenging. We’re always here to help!

Thanks for quick reply, seems like i have this issue only on my phone

Hi @Jenya

You are very welcome, thank you for replying so quickly!

It is interesting that the error message is only happening when accessing the store on your phone. This would suggest that the issue is likely with the device itself, and not the domain connected to your store.

Have you tried using a different web browser on your mobile device? Also, it might be worth testing it on a different internet connection such as on mobile data or on another Wi-Fi network.

Making sure that the phone firmware and browser app version are up to date will be a good idea here too.

In the past I have seen this error happening when the phone time & date are set incorrectly - I would recommend double checking this and correcting it if needs be. Clearing the browser cache & cookies is a good troubleshooting step also, as well as simply powering the device off & on.

I hope this helps, let me know how that goes!
