While there is an old post about adding the “Note Attributes” field to the Packing Slip, it was never really answered. Can someone provide the necessary code?

I’m also looking to solve this problem and I think that the Shopify team for some reason never made the note_attributes available for the Packing Slip template. 
There is an idea to try the template in the Order Printer App (by Shopify, free: https://apps.shopify.com/order-printer).
I have hope that the variable scope will be different in the Order Printer App?
