I get a lot of traffic but zero conversion and zero added to cart, having between 200-300 visitors daily. My store is https://mscats.store
Hi,
Sometimes this issue occurs when your store isn’t reaching the right audience. Could you let me know the main traffic sources for your website? This information will help me provide more accurate suggestions.
Best regards,
Mainly UAE with about 80% of my traffic coming from there through TikTok ads
Hi @MS_1_1 ,
It’s great to see you’re getting 200-300 visitors daily, this shows you’re attracting attention! Let’s work on converting that into sales by improving a few key areas of your store.
- Developing your own unique branding—colors, logo, etc. This will make your website look more trustworthy and professional.
- The product selection is limited, which might cause customers to visit but not find what they’re looking for. On the bright side, you’ve included detailed images that really showcase the products well.
- There’s not much information about your store, which can make customers question the credibility of both the website and the products you’re offering.
- You should check out other pet shop websites for inspiration and to develop your own unique style for your store.
I hope that these suggestions can help you somehow. Good luck!

I have changed the website description and compared to other and feel like it’s not off. Clearly something is wrong when I have over 1000 visits on the site but zero orders or add to cart. Maybe the product isn’t right or maybe UAE isn’t a good audience I don’t know
Hello there @MS_1_1 I like the simplicity and organization of the store, it appears very neat and it is very easy to navigate through. My first suggestion for improvement would be add to some videos or maybe even gifs of the products in action. Pet owners and lovers love to be visually convinced in general.
It would also be a great idea to add a FAQ section in the homepage to help give additional information that can’t be covered alone by the “About us” on the page
I hope you find these useful and I wish you the best of luck!
Hi @MS_1_1 ,
I’m from Mageplaza, a Shopify solution expert.
I would be glad to review your website and provide feedback on improving its performance. Below are some suggestions to improve your conversion rate:
1. Optimizing the Landing Page
Your website is not converting visitors into customers as efficiently as it should, despite your advertising efforts. While I haven’t reviewed your ads specifically, here are some general tips inspired by Databox (their full article has more details ). A high click-through rate (CTR) paired with a low conversion rate often points to an issue with the landing page, particularly with weak or unclear calls-to-action (CTAs). You may want to try more direct CTAs like “Buy Now” or “Learn More,” which could be presented as a clickable image or a simple button with a brief description.
2. Selling more products
I would recommend you to sell more products on the websites if possible. When visiting your website, customers will have more options to compare, encouraging them to buy products from your site rather than coming to others.
3. Adding Promotional Sections and Banners on the Home Page:
Featuring sections like “Best Sellers” and “On Sale”, New arrivals on the homepage can drive attention to popular and discounted products, encouraging visitors to engage more with your site.
Additionally, you should add seasonal banners for current promotions or collections (e.g., Summer Sale, Winter Collection) to catch the attention of customers. Additionally, you should add ATC, Shop now or add to the wish list buttons to encourage customers to buy your products. Here is a reference:

4. Adding Support section
I checked and found there are no return/refund/shipping policies on your site and this will cause hesitation to purchase.
You should add a support section (any refund, shipment, and return policies, FAQ page, chat box) to enhance customer trust and address purchasing hesitation. Here is a reference:
I hope my suggestions are helpful, feel free to give me any feedback. Good luck!
Hi @MS_1_1
I checked out your store and completely understand your frustration. Getting traffic but no conversions (or even add-to-cart actions) usually means there’s a disconnect between what visitors expect and what they experience on your site. Let’s break it down and get straight to the point on what you need to fix.
1. Traffic Quality – Are You Attracting the Right Visitors?
Just because you’re getting 200-300 visitors doesn’t mean they’re the right people. If you’re running ads, you might be attracting the wrong audience. Check your analytics (Shopify + Google Analytics) to answer these:
- Where is your traffic coming from? (Social media? Search? Paid ads?)
- What’s your bounce rate? (If it’s above 70%, they leave too fast)
- Are they spending time on your product pages?
Solution:
- If using Facebook/Instagram ads, refine your targeting: focus on people who are actually interested in buying, not just clicking.
- If your traffic is organic, check if your SEO keywords match buyer intent (people searching “cute cat shirts” are different from “free cat wallpapers”).
2. No Add to Cart? Your Product Pages Might Be the Issue
If visitors are browsing but not adding to cart, something is stopping them. Possible reasons:
- Price is unclear or too high compared to competitors (check similar stores)
- Unclear product descriptions (make sure they explain the material, fit, benefits, etc.)
- Lack of trust signals (no customer reviews, no return policy, or bad page design)
- Slow load time (test your page speed on Google PageSpeed Insights)
Solution:
- Add urgency (e.g., “Only X left in stock” or “Limited-Time Offer”).
- Show clear trust badges: secure checkout, free shipping (if available), and return policy.
- Improve descriptions to highlight value, not just features (e.g., instead of “cotton shirt,” say “soft, breathable cotton that keeps you comfortable all day”).
- Add customer reviews, even if you start with manually collected testimonials.
3. Checkout Process – Is It Smooth or Frustrating?
Even if people add to cart, they might drop off before checkout. Common problems:
- Unexpected shipping costs
- Complicated checkout process
- No guest checkout option
Solution:
- Offer free shipping or clearly show shipping costs early.
- Simplify checkout: fewer steps, no unnecessary fields.
- Enable express checkout options (Shop Pay, PayPal, Apple Pay).
4. Mobile Optimization – Is Your Store Easy to Use on Phones?
Most visitors are likely on mobile. If your site isn’t smooth, they’ll leave fast. Test your store on different devices and see if:
- The text is readable without zooming.
- Buttons are easy to tap.
- The images load fast.
Solution:
- Use Shopify’s mobile preview tool and optimize accordingly.
- Compress images to improve loading speed.
- Make sure “Add to Cart” and “Buy Now” buttons are highly visible.
5. Retarget Visitors Who Left Without Buying
Since you’re already getting traffic, don’t let them go to waste.
Solution:
- Set up Facebook/Instagram retargeting ads for visitors who didn’t check out.
- Add email pop-ups offering a discount for first-time buyers.
- Use abandoned cart emails if someone adds a product but doesn’t buy.
Final Thoughts
If you fix these areas, you should start seeing an increase in add-to-cart actions and conversions. The most important step is to track your data and test changes one by one so you know what’s working.
If you need any other assistance, feel free to ask, and I will try my best to support you.
Best regards,
Daisy.
