I’ve checked the Shopify status page and it says all systems are operational, but no confirmation emails are being automatically sent to customers.
Also when on the order status page there’s no map as there usually is.
I’ve been contacted twice by customers wondering if their orders have been received.
Is anyone else experiencing this issue?

Try sending yourself a test email Settings > Notifications > Order confirmation > Preview (tip right corner) > Send test email
Also, it could be account specific issue, you could try reaching out directly to tech support.

On the order page there is also no button on the timeline to re-send the notification.
Im getting no order notifications through letting me know when orders are coming through either.
In that case, definitely open the ticket with tech support, using the link I provided.
We are seeing the same thing for our store. Looks like it started sometime this morning.
When orders are placed, no confirmation is sent to admin. No confirmation is sent to the customer either.
As the other poster mentioned, there is also no option to “resend” the order confirmation email to the customer.
Older orders, for example, from yesterday or earlier still have the option (button) to resend the confirmation.

Did anyone find a reason behind why this was happening or did you have to contact support? My shop just started doing this today. Order confirmations aren’t mapping or sending and there’s no option for me to resend order confirmations.
Just had the same issue on my store. It happened to be a customer who placed an order yesterday without issue.
Point of note for Shopify support - It’s not just the customer confirmation email. It’s also the new order received email for the staff notifications. I use that to update production slots in my shop so not getting those emails is a critical error for me.
I’m not sure if this is related or not, but normally built to order items get tagged as “Pre-Order” in my store (via an app) but that didn’t happen this time.
I did try the test email and that came through fine, but that was just a few minutes ago.
Looks like the emails were backlogged somewhere and Shopify was able to send those out yesterday afternoon. Thanks for the quick service and sending the missing emails.
