Why are my order confirmation emails not being sent automatically?

Order confirmation emails are not currently being sent when orders are placed at my store.

From the order UI if I click the “resend email” button, the order confirmation is then sent and the original also arrives (2 emails are sent)

Is anyone else suffering this or know the resolution?

We need to gather some further context so we can pinpoint where this issue is stemming from:

  • Are you fulfilling orders through a third-party app such as Printful?
  • Does this same issue occur when sending yourself a test email? Via Settings > Notifications > Order confirmation > Preview (tip right corner) > Send test email.
  • Has this just started happening recently? Do you recall any changes made to your site that may have impacted this?
