Hello, I recently launched my first Shopify store, its called ‘shabbyvintagechateau.com’ and I have not had a single view or sale. Not sure what to do! Can anyone please advise me what the next step is. I have integrated my Shopify Store from my successful Etsy store, and have linked Instagram, Facebook and Pinterest to my new Shopify store. When I google ‘shabbyvintagechateau.com’ I see a lot of references to my Etsy store and way down in the list I see the link to my Shopify store. Any help would be appreciated. I don’t really want to have to start paying for ads yet as already paying for the Shopify Plan and for the ExportYourStore APP that syncs my Shopify Store with my Etsy Store. Thank you.
Hi, @AngelaJ59
Thanks for posting to the Community. I hope you’re well!
I understand from your post you aren’t getting any traffic or sales. Can you provide any details on what you have done to promote your store? You could have the best store on the internet, but if no one knows its there, it won’t get any traffic or sales.
While I understand paying for ads can be difficult at first, there are loads of free options you can try. First, you need to have rock solid SEO to ensure you are showing up in organic searches. Next, you can create a social media strategy to reach users organically via Social Media. I recommend referring to our blog post here on the other free marketing strategies we recommend.
Now while traffic is of the utmost importance, you want to make sure your store is set up to convert that traffic into sales. At the moment there are a few areas you can improve on to assist with that.
First, you don’t have a logo, or favicon. There are many great sites like canva.com that will help you design both for absolutely free!
Next, you don’t have a domain or store policies. It’s very important to incorporate both of these as it builds trust with customers and makes them confident making a purchase from you.
Lastly, I recommend updating some of your product photos. Most photos aren’t lit very well and are blurry and off center. Instead of holding the item to take a photo, we recommend putting the item on a clean surface with great light(natural light works great). You can then crop the photo right in Shopify to ensure it is centered and professional.
I hope that helps! If you have anymore questions please let me know.
