Hi, I am having trouble getting my first sales on my shopify store. I have done marketing via meta ads and have seen a lot of traffic up to 600 landing page views. And yet I see no sales, have tried different products and no sales at all. Can anyone give me some guide. Here is the store: shoplarry.net
So right away I can see some reviews, even reviews with photos. Knowing that you have made no sales, these must be fake. Fake reviews are probably the worst thing you can do to your business.
And if you are willing to put up fake reviews, to the point of uploading photos, what aren’t you willing to do to scam the customer into believing you’re legit?
It really says a lot. Much more than you know. It says you are not honest. It says you are not truthful. And it says you cannot be trusted.
I could not see reviews; maybe removed, or I cannot see them. But About us do mention it is CJdroppshipping so at least that part is honest, right?
Welcome to the community. And to start, do spend some time searching here do “no sales” as there are a lot of good tips that repeat and one you can apply to your store.
And for your question: having trouble with the first sale, you must know it is not that easy. Choose 5 products, import images/description, put something on the homepage, and it is done ? Well maybe it was like that a few years back when dropshipping was a new thing. But now there are so many stores, and yours is nothing special. No story, no real theme, you just have products. No trust signals, no credibility. Why would someone buy a 50 euro Air Purifier Humidifier when on CJ it is 5 euros. Yes you do get taxes, and you do need to earn something, but for me, that is too much. Found with a quick search from 10 euros to 25 euros on a few sites.
And I mention no trust signals, and I do ask you, what do you check when you buy online? To whom does your money go? Well, I could just find the country and a Gmail email. That does not bring trust. At least have a business name, address, phone, and email from your own domain.
I do think dropshipping is really hard, now it is so saturated. Even if you choose a really small niche, it needs a lot of work. And you have a jacket on the homepage but then garden lights on the collection. A bit random, or both are in the Gadgets category?
But you just started, and the basic site, but it is fine. Domain is just 19 days old but you should also know that .net domain do not have the same value as .com. Old rule. But it is so hard to find right .com domain that it is free.
So once again, spend some time researching on community.
And good luck, I do hope you do get some sales soon.
@Laza_Binaery True. Didn’t see that.
The reviews were removed it seems.
Hey @ShopLarry
Please categorise your products first.
Hello there @ShopLarry for starters, just to confirm is it just one product you have available for sale now? If so, it means that your marketing strategy would need to be very niche and streamlined in terms of content and also target audience (location wise mainly). If you haven’t gotten that down yet, I suggest you hire a specialist to help you with it.
Hello. i am glad to visit your website.
Your store has a very individual and beautiful design, which is very impressive.
But if you can re-upload store pictures with higher resolutions and better qualities, pay more attention to store backend details like H1 and meta title or meta description contents, your store can have a better performance also in search results.
I have attached some missing points here below for your reference, you can take a look and let me know via here if you need further support:
Missing store favicon
Missing H1 tag on product pages
Hi, I have one product on my home page that I am trying to sell, but when you click “shop now” it goes to all of the products availeble on the store.
Hey, I checked out your store, and I think I can see what’s slowing things down. The main issue is that the shop doesn’t really have a clear direction it’s got a bit of everything (clothes, gadgets, garden stuff), but only a few items in each. That makes it hard for visitors to know what the store is really about, so they end up leaving without buying
It’s not that your products are bad they actually look nice but the setup makes it hard to build trust or keep people interested long enough to make a purchase. That’s probably what’s holding the store back from getting real sales and growth.
