Not possible to insert a featured collection to the Home page

I have done the following:

• Created a couple of featured collections by manually selecting the products, which shall be in the collections.
• Then I select Online store/Themes/Customize (my theme is Refresh)
• The Home page is shown with the “default” Featured collection
• Then I select “Featured collection”
• Activation “Change” in the Collection field
• Select “Change collection”
• Selecting one of the “Featured collections”, I have created earlier
• The images in the preview changes to show the products in the selected collection
• But the “Save” button is disabled, meaning that my changes cannot be saved
• When I navigate away from the Featured collection section, the “default” Featured collection is shown again

How do I change the Featured collection on my Home page?

Double check these things in your code

1. if you have any blocks in your code then add preset at the end of schema
2. just copy the Featured collection code and paste into your new file and change the section name and change the schema section name

Thank you for returning with an answer that fast, however as I am new to Shopify, I honestly do not know, what you mean. Of course I know, that there is a code behind, however the workflow I described above is the workflow described in multiple guidance’s in the web including from Shopify.

So my question should actually have been:

Is the workflow, I describe correct?

And if it is, why can’t I save?

And if the workflow is incorrect, what have I done wrong in the workflow?

I’m having the same problem. I cannot change an existing featured collection (on the homepage) to a new one from the drop-down (save is greyed out). If I create a new featured collection section and select the collection from the list, it appears in the preview, but again, Publish/Save is greyed out. If you back out, it removes all progress. I am using the Dawn theme.

Hi,

I have found out, what I did wrong. After selecting a selection in the top right, you have to go to the bottom left corner and click the “select” button. Then you can save.
