I am looking to setup a Shopify store for my client.
But the client does not want to integrate a payment gateway. They plan to start the store with a basic price display and then customization of the products based on orders from customers. So the price may change depending on the customization. So they will charge the amount through bank transfer or some other ways. Is there any option to use the Shopify store in this way?
Can you please let me know the possibilities of the above-mentioned store setup?
There are certainly a few Cash on Delivery apps you can use, Shopify is perfectly capable to handle this, if you don’t want to do a payment gateway.
For customization, you might want to setup variations of the products, so customer can choose your customization.

Your client can use Shopify with a manual payment method such as bank transfer, without connecting an online payment gateway.
For customized products, they can collect the customer’s request first, confirm the final price manually, then create or update the order/draft order with the correct amount.
Once the final order is recorded in Shopify, apps like GoProfit can help track revenue, COGS, and profit based on that order data.
