I’ve verified my shop with GSC and added sitemap based on Shopify guidelines in December 2021.
When I type in google site:slike.lu only home page is indexed. Based on GSC, remaining pages (collection pages, product pages) are Discovered – currently not indexed.
Could you advice what can be the reason?
It can take some time for Google to index a newly launched site properly. And it depends on – among other things – if there is even something index-worthy.
Right now your sub-pages are very thin on content, the only real content seems to be three blog posts, and they’re French, while the rest of the theme is set to English. The homepage is just the default placeholder sections.
I’d recommend building up your shop, adding good product and collection descriptions and publishing to the blog. Once there’s sufficient content on the shop you should see more pages being indexed and, eventually, ranked.
@ThomasBorowski Thanks for reply. I worked on development of the store but still only home page indexed. There is no errors in GSC.
Do you it would help to manually request indexing for each product page in gsc?
If the pages of the store are all discoverable through links, I don’t think there’s a point in submitting individual pages. Google will index them when it sees fit.
