Hi! I’m new to shopify. I’m an artist and would like to optimize my product pages. Is it recommended to just use the artwork title for the product title or is it better to be more descriptive? For example, “ARTWORK Title Fine Art Painting on Canvas”? Would love to hear your thoughts. Thank you!

well you can have two names. the title that shows up on your site and the meta title that shows up in google search. at the bottom of the product info page you can change the meta title. if you leave blank it will default to whatever you names it for the site.
Try not to use all caps in the title. Google doesn’t like that very much.
I would do something like:
Title for site: What you call the item.
“Sunset Landscape on Canvas”
Meta Title: What you call the item with a few words to describe.
“Sunset Landscape on Canvas - Fine Art” or “Sunset Landscape on Canvas - Oil Painting”
The in the beginning of the description use some keywords naturally like:
“This Sunset Landscape Painting on Canvas is a fine art painting that encapsulates the artwork of Jim Smith. With …”
You see what I’m getting at.
