PageSpeed Insights : Why says Performance diagnoses for mobile version down to 40 (of 100) ?

Using Shopify store system with the theme “Taste” (updated to version 14 on 11th July) for a Print-on-Demand business … www.pomshop.nl . The shop is filled with 370 products (around 4,150 variants), organized in 22 collections. Blog posts are around 20.

Latest performance test (today) via PageSpeed Insights has some bad news:

red flagged: Mobile version = 40 of 100 and

yellow flagged: Desktop version is 88 of 100.

See analysis: https://pagespeed.web.dev/analysis/https-www-pomshop-nl/o6opz8cd23?form_factor=mobile

I use the original Theme, no tweaking or manipulating of the code, beside integration of Google Analytics, Google Search Console, Google Merchant Center, Google Ads.

E.g. one advice of a long list for example is “Reduce JavaScript execution time” (actual: 4.2 s). Yet it refers to Shopify’s JavaScript execution.

Another example is “Avoid an excessive DOM size” (actual: 6,730 elements). Same here it seems a Shopify procedure.

I have my doubts, I can do something relevant to change this performance ??? - For any hint how to proceed I’d thank you.

Hello @Digit_PaxMentis

It’s always half of the desktop version. So it’s perfect.

Thank You
