Paid theme for a client through Partner Dashboard

Hello,

I used to develop stores for clients.

I want to try Shopify Partner to build a store for a client.

My question is : I want to use a paid theme for the store. I want to buy the theme by myself (I already included the price in the project total amount). Is it possible to do it before I deliver the store to the client ?

I want it to be transparent for the client and don’t bother him with that.

When do I have to buy the store ? Before or after the transfer of the store to the client ?

Some theme offers a trial version. You only pay if you publish the theme. Check store here

Actually, the theme I want to use offers free trial (and pay when publish).

My question is, when is the theme published ? Before or after I transfer it to the customer ?

It would be hard to show to the customer the theme without publishing unless you record a video or let them access your dev store. The unpublished theme will not be visible if you just give the website url.
