Hi guys. My “PayPal Button” on the cart page was flickered constantly. It switched from hidden and showed up rapidly. I don’t know how to describe but here’s a video of it. My payment has been set up successfully. I check the code on Shopify and I think it’s fine but online store shows this. Does anyone know how to fix this? Thanks
Hi,** @Lucyforever95 **!
Thanks for reaching out about this, and for the video recording you sent to help us see a visual of the issue.
The first thing that you can check for on your store is if you have any third-party apps installed, that may be affecting the performance of your PayPal dynamic checkout button. Some apps you can look out for would usually have something to do with your store’s cart, checkout, or currency conversion as mentioned on our Help Centre document here. The reason why you’ll need to check your app list is because some third-party apps may implement coding onto your store’s theme, that can conflict with your store’s cart and hinder its usual performance.
If you have such apps as listed above installed on your store, uninstalling the specific apps may help resolve the issue. At times however, even when an app has been uninstalled it will leave some residual codes on your store’s theme. This means that you’ll need to manually remove the app’s coding, and some apps have guides and instructions on how you can do so within their website. If not, some app developers are also happy to help you remove residual coding, so you can reach out to them to request this.
You can also reach out to our internal Support Team, so that we can take a closer look at your account and help you troubleshoot this further. While we’re not able to provide account-specific support via the Shopify Community at this time, we’d be happy to continue assisting you. You can visit our Help Centre here, and log in to your account to create a support request.
It’s really good to see that you have your dynamic checkout buttons available on your store though! Implementing them is a good strategy to improve conversions on your store, so hopefully you’ll be seeing lesser amounts of abandoned checkouts. In the case that you’re still getting a few abandoned checkouts here and there, and would like to minimize this as much as possible, you can look into offering incentives through your abandoned checkout emails. Have a look at our Shopify Blog here for some great abandoned checkout email strategy tips!
Let me know how you get on with the information above! I’d be happy to help if you have any other questions.
