If you need to check refund status, you can contact your payment provider directly (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Stripe, etc.) since they can still process refunds after the store closes. Also, check your bank accounts for any recent activity. If Shopify permanently closed your account, you might need to resolve any disputes directly with your customers or with your payment provider.
