POD store for non-US residents / citizens still possible on May 2025?

Hi, guys. I need help with some topics that have been widely discussed but NOT RECENTLY. I understand there are changes in banking regulations and laws in the US, so I need some guidance:

  • I am not in the US. I do not have a US physical address or phone number. But I would like to offer my POD products to an American audience (No surprise there, uh?)
  • I could register an LLC online, but before doing so:
  1. What if I open a new POD store as an LLC, but without a US physical address (the business address would be that of my registered agent, but not my personal address, nor my phone number).
  2. What if I connect my Wise account as a payment method?
  3. Will my store have Shopify Payments available?

So, in short: What are the options for non-US residents to operate a POD store and receive payments (other than PayPal, which is very expensive) now in May 2025? Is Shopify still an option for us? And if so, how?
Thanks in advance for your time and support.

  1. Yes, you can open an LLC without a US Address or number. You are required to have a registered agent.

  2. If you wish to connect that account it will tell you if you can or can not. I suggest trying it if youd like.

  3. Not all purchases are processed by shopify itself. So im not entirely sure the best thing to do is try.

  4. Thank you for reaching out to support. Please be careful and do EVERYTHING thoroughly and correctly. I wis hyou the best of luck in your journey and have a great day. IF YOU ARE UNSURE MAKE SURE BEFORE DOING IT!

Non-US residents can operate a POD store and receive payments by setting up a US-based LLC, obtaining a US bank account, and using a payment processor like Stripe or Payoneer.
