Pointing 3rd party email to Shopify custom domain

I got good results last time I came here for advice so I’ll try again. After being told that Shopify does not do email of any kind, when I bought my custom domain. So I bought a third party email through Zoho. But I can not get it to connect to my domain for anything. When I start the procedure, it says it detects that I have Google Domains (whatever its called), and the instructions are for Google. But I can not find those settings anywhere in Shopify, and when sending the test whatever it is not received, or returned. As you can tell all this website stuff is new to me, so you will have to translate my technical terms.

How do I get this done, this is the whole reason I used Shopify for my domain, I thought it would be the simplelest thing to do. Boy, was I wrong. Thank you in advance to anyone that can help.

You had any luck resolving this ? I’m having the same issues. The email I set up with zoho is working fine. The contact form page even works on my site but email links just return a " not found " result.

Exactly what mine is doing. I’m going to have drop Zoho and do something else.

Good luck

I emailed Zoho, and they sent me different directions, I think it was the same procedure just explained better. I got two of the three items connected, and the last one just did now work, so I emailed them again, and I’m waiting to hear back. Here are the instructions she emailed me, maybe it will help you. If you get the last one (DKIM) please let me know how.

In the TXT value Field enter v=spf1 include:zoho.com ~all

Click Save

Wait till the propagation completes and then Click verify in the control panel.

Control Panel >Domains>Click on your Domain> Email Configuration > SPF > Verify.

DKIM Verification steps:

Go to domains and click on your domain and go to “Email configuration”

Click on “DKIM” on left pane, On the right pane click on " + " symbol

In “Selector name” update your company name as “zmail” and click on “ADD”

Copy the value of TXT-Host/Name & TXT Value

You need to add the copied (TXT-Host/Name & TXT value) and you need to create new record in DNS (Domain manager control panel without any spaces)

Wait till the propagation completes and then Click verify in the control panel.

Zoho Access Control Panel >Domains>click on your domain>Email configuration >DKIM > Click on verify
