Since this last update, We’ve been having issues on all 4 of our POS systems where Shopify POS won’t automatically log out after each transaction even though it’s set to. Even when you attempt to manually log out through the menu, pressing log out won’t do anything.

The only way around this is to force close Shopify POS to get it to bring you back to the employee login screen. This is resulting in sales being attributed to wrong employees which effects their sales and commissions. We’ve reinstalled Shopify POS which doesn’t seem to fix the issue.

For now, we’ve had to enable sale attributions required at the payment screen to make sure the transactions go to the right employee.

This is a known issue bug, apparently they are working on it.

Well as of this latest update that was released yesterday, it’s still present.

Lots of ‘known issues’ that never get fixed. This one is more important than others, so I am guessing it will get corrected. The cash drawer coin counter will never get fixed, the jumping cursor will never get fixed. But this most likely will given how it presents a loss at the register of actual money, since you can’t lock the drawer.

Same issue over here for past few months. The latest updates as of 1.8.2024 to Shopify POS and the latest iOS version are installed. It can work okay for a while after rebooting everything, but sooner or later it starts to bug out. Where It doesn’t log out automatically after a transaction ends, and it doesn’t log out with the timer set to 2 minutes of inactivity, sometimes even pushing the button to go to log in screen does nothing. Very frustrating. Shopify, please fix this asap.
