Is it possible to preview navigation and menu changes in a theme template without modifying the live site?

Unfortunately, there is no option to change the navigation and preview the changes, without affecting the live site. I absolutely think this would be a great function. Therefor, I will submit this to our developers as a feature request on your behalf.
In the meantime, what kind of changes are you making? It’s best to keep your navigation simple. If you need help along the way, we have a great video tutorial that outlines best practices and how to create a simple, functional navigation with a great user experience.

It’s been about a year since you posted this, however, we are currently in the process of updating themes and are running into this issue of not being able to develop a new navigation without affecting the main site.
Has this feature request been implemented in any releases since your post?
