I opened a shop and I tried to connect my PayPal account to the store without success,
When I click Activate Paypal express checkout
This redirects me to an error page where it is listed:
There’s no page at this address
Check the URL and try again, or use the search bar to find what you need.
Hey there, @Marisol2 . Thanks so much for coming to the Shopify Community with your PayPal Gateway situation here. I’m happy to try to help things get resolved and working as intended.
It looks like, based on your screenshot, that the error you’re being presented with is within your Shopify Admin directly. A first step to try when getting errors in these areas is to do a cookies and cache clear of the browser you primarily use to login to your Shopify Store.Another step you should look into trying is logging into your Shopify Admin from a different device or browser, and trying the setup through there. Errors such as what you’re experiencing are usually related to local issues, so it would be great if you could try the above outlined steps and see if they resolve things.
If the steps above don’t resolve the error, please follow up with me here and let me know.
Hi there, @Morad-zu . Thanks for joining in on our conversation here!
Are you getting the same exact error as described by the original poster above? If possible, can you provide a screenshot of your error? This error does feel like a local device error, but a screenshot would help cement that.
Thank you for letting me know that you’ve tried the steps I mentioned previously. Let’s continue addressing this as a local issue, and try some additional steps to resolve it! If you try the steps below, and they don’t resolve things, please let me know:
Clear your primary browser’s cache and cookies on your device
Ensure that your browser is currently using it’s most up to date version
Ensure that your operating system is also using it’s most up to date version
Try resetting your Internet Router, and leave it off for 30 seconds, then plug it back in and try again
Download a different browser, and attempt logging in your store and setting up PayPal.
As mentioned above, give these steps a try and please let me know if they don’t work for you!
Thanks a bunch for that screenshot! That was honestly very helpful for my investigation of this issue. I did some digging and it looks like this ‘no page’ issue is an ongoing incident that is impacting merchants in certain locations. Our team is aware of the issue, and is actively working to get it resolved. But in the meantime, I have a workaround so you can get PayPal set up!
In order to get past this page, you need to highlight the website address in your URL bar, and then press the ‘Enter’ key, and attempt to reload the page. This should allow you to be taken to the proper set-up page. Please give this step a try, and let me know if it works!
Also, I would love to know the locations on you folks, just to see if you’re currently located in a region we’ve identified as being impacted by this. Please, if you can, follow up with me and let me know how things go while trying my workaround, and also provide me with some info on where your business is located.
If you have any additional questions, just let me know!
Hey there, @Artem_Ecommerce . Thanks for joining in on the conversation here!
Thanks very much for the screenshot! The error page you’re getting looks a bit different than the one that was provided by some of the others in this thread, but it still may be tied to the same cause.
As I mentioned above, we have identified that some folks are being impacted with PayPal page errors based on their locations. Is possible, can you share with me where your business is based out of? Or perhaps where you’re working on your store from?
I’d love to have that context, just so I can bring that to our team and see what additional information I can dig up.
Hey there, @christiancamilo . Thanks for joining in on the conversation here! I hope you’re doing well.
Thanks for letting me know that you’re operating out of Brazil. In one of my previous replies, I noticed that we’re aware of an incident that seems to be impacting merchants from different parts of the world that are trying to set up PayPal within their stores. Brazil is one of these impacted regions. Thankfully, I have a potential fix here that I’d like you to try.
Please, highlight the URL address when you’re on the screen that is giving you the error, and then hit the ‘enter’ key. This should allow the page to load as expected for you.
Please give that above step a try, and let me know if the issue persists after giving it a try.
Thank you @aki5 promptly solved my problem. It opened in another tab, I granted the permissions to Shopify within the PayPal account and it was signed in within my Shopify account. I suggest to anyone who wants it, if it doesn’t work the first time, try again by clicking with the CTRL + Click on the button and redo the permission, it will work!
Obrigado @aki5 resolveu prontamente meu problema.
Click with the CTRL key to open in a new tab, then it will appear for you to authorize Shopify within your PayPal account. There are just a few details:
be logged into your PayPal account in the same browser as your Shopify account
your PayPal email has to be the same as the Shopify contact email that is in Admin > Settings > General > Contact Information > Store contact email
you may have to do the process a couple of times to work, as it may have cache in the browser
I recommend being logged in everything from an incognito browser.
You will know that it worked, when you click the CTRL button and open a new tab like the image below:
