I currently have my Shopify products synced to my Google Merchant Center account via API. All of my products are not syncing. I have read that others had this trouble, so I used a third party app to sync. Suddenly all of my local ad listings were disapproved. So I have now disconnected the app, and I am needing to determine how to make sure that the API is actually transferring all products to GMC. Is it recommended to rely on the Shopify API, or to use a third party app? If an app is suggested, what app is trustworthy and doesn’t break the bank?
First make sure the primary feed has local ads enabled in Google Merchant Center > Products > Feeds > after you link the new/updated feed.
Then with the same app above, setup a local product feed, add your Google Business profile store code and some other attributes (only a few are there) Then link it to Google Merchant Center and you are good to go.
You might have other issues, so check the results and correct the issues what Google is saying is incorrect.
If you have any further questions, feel free to ask.
Hi, We are having trouble with GTINs on Shopify vs Google. Many many products that we have GTINS entered in the Shopify database show up in Google “missing GTIN” . And we are now having to manually go in a duplicate GTINS - copy/paste - from Shopify to Google on products that are otherwise exactly identical, except Google is missing GTINS.
No amount of waiting and Updating Shopify will send the GTINS over to Google. We update other data, text etc, and that syncs ok (after waiting a day or 2) but the GTINS will not sync properly!
