Product Variations

Topic summary

Main issue: Product variations are not individually visible. Only the main product appears in the catalog and search results; individual variants do not show up.

UI behavior: On the product page, after selecting a variation and then clicking off it, the previous variant’s images remain displayed instead of reverting appropriately.

Requested setup: An Amazon‑style structure where:

  • Images are not shared between variations.
  • Each variation has its own dedicated page (child item) linked to a parent SKU (stock‑keeping unit) for grouping.

Goal: Determine whether this behavior can be configured, and how to implement separate pages for each variation under a parent SKU.

Status: No solution or guidance provided yet; the question remains open.

Hi all,

I noticed that when i have a product with a variation, only the main product shows up in the catalog and also in a search. Additionally, when viewing a product that has variations, if I click a variation, then click off it keeps showing me the previous variants pictures.

Is there a way to set it up like Amazon, where pictures are not shared between variations and each variation is its own page with a parent SKU?

Thank you,
Michael
