Products

Topic summary

A user expected 20 products to be pre-loaded on their new store but found none. They’re unsure whether they have credits to add products or need to pay upfront, and question if they’re looking in the wrong place.

Troubleshooting steps suggested:

  • Check the Shopify admin under Products > All Products to verify if products exist but aren’t displaying on the storefront
  • If no products are listed, they’ll need to be added manually or imported via dropshipping apps

Clarification on product sourcing:

  • The initial expectation of pre-loaded products appears to stem from misunderstanding an advertisement
  • For dropshipping models, products can be added without upfront inventory costs
  • Recommended apps include DSers, Spocket, and Zopi for importing and managing products

Current status: The user shared their store credentials for further diagnosis. The discussion remains open as the root cause (configuration issue vs. no products added) hasn’t been confirmed.

So the store was supposed to have 20 products loaded onto it for me and there is none. Do I have a certain amount of credits I can use to get started up or do I have to foot the bill to get some things on the store. Or maybe I’m just not looking in the right spot, any advice?

Hi @Mozzochi96

You can check in your admin > Products if there are any products. If there are but none on the front of the website then there might be some configuration needed. But can you explain a bit what do you mean by “was supposed to have 20 products loaded”?

Do you have a development store with generated test products?

Also if you want, share your store link and password if any.

@Mozzochi96 It sounds like the products might not have been added yet. Check under Products > All Products in your Shopify admin to see if anything is listed. If not, you’ll need to upload products manually or use a dropshipping app like DSers or Spocket to import items.

And I just assumed there would be products on there to start out with. That’s what the ad made it seem like at least

Hi @Mozzochi96 ,

For dropshipping, you can add as many products as possible without upfront costs. If you need products to get started, consider using a dropshipping app like Zopi to easily manage products without holding inventory. Instead, you invest in a visually appealing theme and run targeted ads to attract customers and boost sales. When you receive an order, fulfill it through Zopi and pay your suppliers.
