Has anyone be able to, or know how to set up the new shopify payment account with ebay.
I am trying to set my new shopify account to receive payment from ebay. The old account worked just fine, but with the new account numbers, for some reason ebay is not accepting.
I contacted their payment processor (trustly) and they were able to add the routing numbers for the account. But now I still can’t connect the account. Ebay says they cant verify the .01 penny transaction.
Has anyone else been able to someone successfully connect the two for payment?

I ran into this issue too when trying to connect my new Shopify payment account with eBay. The problem seems to be that eBay can’t verify the $0.01 transaction, even though Trustly added the routing details. It turns out Shopify Balance or some Shopify-linked accounts don’t always work with eBay’s verification system. I was able to resolve this by linking a traditional checking account instead. You could also try asking eBay or Trustly for manual verification if that’s your only account option.
It is the only account i want to use as it’s convenient to have all the payments and payouts in one place, plus the quicker deposits. I guess last choice i would have to go and create another account at a bank and use that, then transfer all the payouts and payments to there.
I tried calling eBay for their manual verification, but that didn’t work either.
I just can’t believe i am the only person who uses ebay and shopify and receives payment to shopify balance account. Someone else must have gone through this similar issue; but doesn’t seem so…

Long story short, you’ll just need to receive payment at another account (like a bank).
After multiple backs and forth, contacting payment center, eBay, Shopify and even fifth third.
the account won’t work because it’s some sort of money management account.
I just created a business account at my bank, transferred all payment there.
I am experiencing the same issue, and Shopify support keeps stating that they are unaware of the problem. They have not had any reports of the issue. They are simply avoiding transparency to avoid admitting there is an issue. I have reported this multiple times since the change.
They know the issue. Escalate higher and they will tell you.
the solution is to receive payments from marketplaces into another account, like a bank account with your name or business name.
Exactly, that is the solution we have been using, but I do not know why they cannot admit it.
