Hello! I am trying to figure out how to remove the “Spend $340 or more and get free shipping!” message on my shop’s cart dashboard when someone orders. How can I do it? If it requires code, how do I get into the site’s code, and what lines do I add?
Topic summary
A user needed to remove a “Spend $340 or more and get free shipping!” message appearing on their shop’s cart page.
Initial responses:
- Multiple users requested the shop URL to provide specific guidance
- One user suggested 5 Shopify apps for customizing free shipping messages (Free Shipping Bar by Hextom, Ultimate Free Shipping Bar, Bold Upsell, CartKit, and Vitals)
Solution identified:
Another user analyzed the site (ksartsdallas.com) using browser inspection tools and determined:
- The message originated from the Morata theme (from Themeforest), not a third-party app
- The element wasn’t contained in a
shopify-app-block, confirming it was theme-based - Recommended checking theme editor settings or the cart template section
Resolution:
The original poster successfully resolved the issue by locating the free shipping toggle in the theme editor’s side dashboard and disabling it. No custom code was required.
What’s the shop URL?

Hi @Ksartsdallas ,
Here are 5 popular Shopify apps that can help you customize or display free shipping messages and enhance your cart features:
-
Free Shipping Bar by Hextom
- Best for displaying free shipping offers.
- Simple and customizable design.
-
Ultimate Free Shipping Bar
- Displays dynamic messages based on cart total.
- User-friendly and responsive app.
-
Bold Upsell – True Upsells!
- Great for upselling and promotions.
- Allows you to add custom messages to the cart.
-
CartKit – Free Shipping Progress Bar
- Shows a progress bar that indicates how much more customers need to spend to get free shipping.
- Interactive and engaging design.
-
Vitals – 40+ Marketing Apps
- An all-in-one app that includes free shipping banners and other promotional features.
- Highly customizable.
You probably have either a 3rd-party shipping bar app installed, or it’s part of your theme.
Assuming, ksartsdallas.com is your site, here’s what I see on the cart:
As you can see in the following screenshot, this element is not contained with a shopify-app-block element, so it’s probably from your theme rather than an app:
It seems like you’re using the Morata theme from Themeforest:
I would recommend reaching out to their support team for guidance. But most likely, you can find this either in the site settings in the theme editor, or as a section on your cart template in the theme editor.
Hope this helps,
Tobe
Thank you so much! I found it in the theme editor and had to click off “free shipping” in the side dashboard
