We use latest version of Dawn theme.
I have tried to find the solution, but I have not been able to find it.
We have products (and will have more of them) where the product does not have a price.
It has all the other options: size, amount, upload file, etc. And OFC. the “Put in basket” button.
But we wish to be able to send the customer a price offer.
So I am looking for a solution to 2 things:
-
Not having the “Put in basket” option on products that does not have a fixed price. Instead I wish to have the button for “request a quote” that, when clicked, sends me all the selected options from the customer, and gives me the option to send my customer a price on the product.
-
If a customer wish to buy more than a given number of a product, the request a quote option appears. Giving the customer the option to either pay in the store right away, or ask us for a quote on price.
I hope there are some smart peoples out there that can help me
Hello @BjornAnd
Did you checked some of the best Shopify apps for your requirement ?
Please check them:
#1. https://apps.shopify.com/request-for-quote
#2. https://apps.shopify.com/request-a-quote
#3. https://apps.shopify.com/request-quote-w3
Let me know if you looking to achieve this without an app.
Thanks
Hi @BjornAnd ,
I recommend exploring the Easify Product Options app that enables you to create custom options for your products. There are various option display types like checkboxes, file uploads, buttons, dropdowns, and image swatches.
Additionally, you have the flexibility to personalize the text on the “Add to cart” button according to your preferences. For instance, you can modify it to say “Request a quote”.
Hey there!
For what you’re trying to achieve, I recommend using the Shopify Quotation App. It’s designed exactly for merchants like you who offer custom or variable pricing.
Hi there!
You’re definitely not alone; many merchants run into this when selling custom or volume-based products.
Since you’re using the latest Dawn theme, the good news is that your setup is modern and compatible with most flexible apps.
For your needs, I highly recommend trying a Shopify request a quote app. These apps are designed exactly for use cases like:
-
Hiding the “Add to Cart” button on selected products
-
Showing a “Request a Quote” button instead
-
Collecting all product options (like size, upload, quantity, etc.)
-
Sending the info to you so you can reply with a personalized quote
