Search & Discovery display some products in wrong filter

hi

when i click in filters on the brand Creed, it sows a product from another brand Chopard, but when i edit this product it has the brand Chopard not Creed, i don’t get why some of my products are displayed in wrong filters on the front end of my website in categories page.

i’ve made this product yesterday, and edited it also today to see changes, but still appear in the wrong filter so i don’t think that its only a cache issue.

i’m not interested to pay a dev for that nor to get a paid app or i wont post my msg here

To better assist Community members, it would be helpful for them to know what theme you’re using and/or screenshots of how you have the collections/filters setup to better understand how products are being sorted in your admin.

hi Trevor,

Sorry i will clarify.

My theme is: oworganic from themeforest, devs are shopifytemplate

The brand is actually configured for Product Type

if i can add extra information, i’ll say that it happens to 15% of my products.

I often duplicate my products.

And i can fix this issue by changing and saving my product multiple times but its really random

if i change this product multiple time and save then it will go to the correct filter. But imagine how many time i waste by doing that, sometimes i needa change it once other times 5-10 times, it’s really strange

That is very strange.

It could be a caching issue specific to your admin if you’re duplicating products. Shopify Support can flush the frontend cache of your store - This often resolves issues like this. I’d recommend contacting them first: https://help.shopify.com/en/support/login

If that works, then I would start creating your products manually instead of duplicating them to avoid it occurring again.

yes but one flush wont be enought, its a constant update

and duplicating save much more time

also ive tried a premium app and i got no issue but i just wanna keep using the free one

I understand. However, if duplicating is the root cause of the issue, then you may find you save more time creating the products manually instead of needing to wait for the frontend to update the settings you’ve changed from the duplication.

I’m not sure what app you used to assist with this, but the issue could also be with the theme itself. If that were the case, then contacting their support may also be a good option: https://themeforest.net/item/oworganic-multipurpose-sections-shopify-theme/30128110/support

ye no it’s not my theme issue, only shopify search free app

imma try to find something

just to let you know that duplication of product is not the issue,

i just made a new product then i decided to change an option and filter still showing old option

Basically, your solution is to make a new product and never change it so the filter will always display the good result
