Search Icon to Search Bar to Showcase Theme

Hi. I’m using the Showcase theme and it only has the search icon, and when you click on it, it opens a fullscreen window to search in. I want to get rid of this and just have a normal search bar. Can anyone send exact instructions on how to do this? I’ve seen a lot of stuff online, but it doesn’t apply directly to the Showcase theme which is what I need. Attached is what I have vs what I want.

Hello @greg2355 & @Zworthkey & @mondocherry by any chance, did you receive an answer to change the search bar to a normal search bar in Showcase ? Would appreciate to have the solution to implement this change on my website on Showcase also, thanks a lot in advance !!!
